Please be informed that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has prohibited to passengers and crew members to carry electronic cigarettes in the luggage. The prohibition applies not only to electronic cigarettes themselves, but also on the product charger for them, as well as other portable electronic devices for smoking, which operates on battery power. Devices can be carried in hand luggage, but not to be recharged on board.
There were several incidents in which the heating elements of electronic cigarettes activated accidentally and caused a fire in the cargo part of the plane.
In view of the above, prohibition on transportation in the luggage of passengers and crew members of the electronic cigarette and battery chargers to them was issued.
Any luggage (including carry-on bags) must be presented to airport personnel at check-in. This requirement is related to the in – flight safety. The tagged luggage accepted by the airline for transportation under its own responsibility for its safety is known as registered. On the baggage tag a passenger should specify his name, address and phone number.
Baggage allowances are established individually by each airline. To obtain this information, please contact your representative for the carrier.
In addition to the established baggage allowances there is a list of items available for free transportation if they are held in arms of the passengers and are not put in the baggage (carry – on bags): a briefcase, a plastic bag, a bouquet of flowers, a purse or a paper folder, printed press to be read in flight, a camera or video camera, a laptop computer, a bag with Duty-free purchases, an umbrella or walking – stick, a coat or cloak, food for baby, a mail cart, a portable wheelchair and (or) crutches, if such items are needed by a passenger.
Securities and commercial papers, passports and other documents, medicines, fragile items, jewelry are recommended to be carried in carry – on bag.
For any baggage that exceeds the established allowance for free baggage transportation, payment is made on the relevant baggage fare.
Carrier may refuse in baggage transportation if there are:
tems that can cause damage to aircraft, humans or property aboard the aircraft;
items that are prohibited by laws, rules and regulations of public authorities of any country to, from or through the territory of which the shipment is to be made;
items that can not be transported as baggage due to their weight, size or other characteristics;
animals, except for dogs, cats and other pets, which are accepted for carriage at the carrier's prior authorization and under certain conditions in accordance with the regulations of such transportation.
In accordance with the requirements of ICAO and the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine imposed restrictions on the transportation of liquids and gels in carry – on bags.
These limitations apply to:
water and other drinks, soups, syrups;
creams, lotions and oils;
gels, including hair and shower gels;
the contents of the cans, including shaving foam, other foams and deodorants;
pastes, including toothpaste;
a mixture of liquid and solid substances;
any other similar substance.
Passengers are allowed to carry with them on board, only a small amount of the substances listed above, but only on condition that these substances are packed in containers not exceeding 100 ml. The substances must be packed in a transparent plastic bag of not more than 1 liter capacity. Each passenger is allowed to carry – on only one such bag.
In larger amounts permitted to be carried - on only:
baby food needed during the flight;
the necessary medication during the flight.
In the luggage of passengers allowed to carry alcoholic beverages:
an alcohol content of no more than 24% in the bottle for retail sale - up to 5 liters;
an alcohol content of more than 24% but less than 70% in the bottle for retail sale - up to 2 liters;
an alcohol content of more than 70% - transportation PROHIBITED.

Items and substances that are prohibited for carriage by passengers and crew members in the passenger cabin, but allowed in checked baggage:
Firearms (including the military, hunting, sports), air, gas guns, pistols and revolvers meant for shooting cartridge shells filled with rubber or bullets with similar properties, cutting weapons of all kinds and structurally similar products, ammo, spare parts for weapons, as well as educational, emasculated, museum, collection, and fake guns in the presence of a person or entity with permission to store, carry and transport such arms, rifles and pistols for scuba diving.
Carriage of arms is regulated by the instruction approved by the central executive authority in the field of transport.
Piercing and cutting items such as: nail clippers; needles for medical injections; knitting needles; metal blades; corkscrews; devices and toys that imitate weapons, items with a blunt end, which can cause injuries.
